About Me

I'm Katie Castaneda, and I'm hoping to be your photographer in our future shoot! I use she/her pronouns, and I am half Japanese and half Mexican. I'm bilingual, speaking English and Japanese.

 

I have a wide variety in what I shoot whether that'd be portrait, family, couples, editorial and sports. But specializing in portrait and sports/event photography, I feel the most consistent and creative in my work.  I have gained well over 5 years of experience and 3 years of running a business with photography. 

 

I have always been passionate about film and photography ever since I made my dad film a weather report with me when I was in 5th grade.

 

Although my school work and volleyball took me away for some time, I am glad to say that I have stuck with taking photos wherever I go.

 

Attending Western Washington University has allowed me to gain a sense of community and family, and I hope to do the same with my clients. My mission is for my clients to feel comfortable, confident, and fulfilled with the experience I provide during my sessions.
